Hello! I am so excited to be teaching fourth grade! I started as a para at Washburn and fell in love with the school and the kids.
I feel so lucky to be teaching here!
Here is a little information about me. I went to the University of Minnesota Duluth where I received my bachelors in Elementary Education. I have taught and subbed in Kindergarten, Second, and Fourth grade!
I grew up in Maple Grove where my family still lives, though they spend most of their time at the cabin in northern Minnesota. I also spend a lot of my time up north. I love to fish, snowmobile, hike, explore, and just enjoy the outdoors. I live with my Husband Dan and our two dogs Tucker and Bella. They also love being at the cabin!
In my free time I like to play sports such as volleyball and kickball, I love to scrapbook, go on walks with the dogs, shop, and eat! I also spend a lot of time looking for good deals at thrift stores, I have purchased over 200 books for our class library all under a dollar!
Speaking of books, my goal this year is to instill the love of reading in each student. I am always reading the new books that come out and sharing them with students. I hope that every student grows this year in their reading!
